Only four of the 29 starters managed to leave all the fences up in the Dunstan EquiFibre/Equidays Junior Rider Series and make it through to the jump-off. The four who returned to battle it out for the $200 prize money left all the fences standing. But, it was Matthew Irvine riding La Perla who managed to stop the clock in the quickest time of just 28.11 seconds, .23 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Emma Watson and Maddox Kiwi Silverkee. Matthew is enjoying his last season on La Perla who is for sale, but his mum Steph says, "if she is not sold by December she will be finding a boyfriend." La Perla has enjoyed much success in the showjumping ring including winning the Six-Year-Old title Horse of the Year 2017.
