Who's Who Of Pony Jumping Contested The Pony Grand Prix At Equidays

The who's who of pony jumping came out this afternoon to contest the Country TV/Cheval Liberte NZ Pony Grand Prix with a prize pool of over $1000.

The first rider to enter the ring was Lilly Carpenter riding Tallyho Mystic who posted a clean, clear round. But, following her, there was a 'clear round drought'. That is until the second to last combination came in. Georgia Bouzaid and Redcliffs Bill, off the back of their win in last night's Pony Six Bar, also posted a clear. But, when Emma Watson enters the ring, she means business, so there was a high chance there would be a third clear round, and that it was. Emma and her consistent Maddox Fun House posted a picture perfect round to ensure an exciting second round.

The judges decided to bring back the 12 combinations with who had accumulated 12 faults or less for round two. Parys Marshall and Spot You Later, who had one down in the first round managed to leave all the fences up in round two confirming a third place for the pair and putting pressure on the two clears from round one. Georgia Bouzaid jumped clean in a time of 39.78 seconds meaning Emma had to jump clean and quick.

Maddox Fun House answered every question asked of her, jumping clear in a time of 39.3 seconds. Claiming the victory, adding $400 to her career prize winnings of over $11,000 and potentially pushing her into the lead for the series.
