From Grand Prix Show Jumping to Grand Prix Dressage, the NRM and McMillan arena was transformed in record time to make way for six of the country’s top dressage combinations to battle it out for the win in the Wade Equine Coaches Grand Prix Freestyle to Music.
Continuing his winning streak, after taking honours in yesterday’s Grand Prix, John Thompson and seasoned campaigner, JHT Antonello, danced their way to first place again tonight. Their electrifying performance had the crowd in raptures the very second he made his final salute to the judges. Posting an impressive score of 73.875%, over four percent clear of his closest rival, Wendi Williamson and Dejavu MH on 69.625%, John took the win convincingly. Third place went to Rio Olympians, Julie Brougham and Vom Feinsten on 69.542%.
